How to make money on DonutSMP by AFKing
Updated August 2026 · 7 min read
AFK money on DonutSMP comes from three things running at the same time: a farm that produces without you, a chunk that stays loaded so it keeps ticking, and a sell command on a timer so the output turns into balance. Get all three going and your money grows overnight with your computer off. Miss any one of them and you wake up to nothing.
The three things you need running
Almost every failed AFK setup is missing one of these. It is worth checking yours against the list before building anything new.
- Production. A farm that generates sellable output on its own, with the items reaching your inventory rather than piling up on the floor.
- Simulation. An account standing close enough to the farm that the server keeps ticking it. See keeping chunks loaded.
- Conversion. A sell command on a schedule, so a full inventory never stops the loop. See auto-selling.
Uptime is what ties them together. A setup that runs for four hours and drops earns half of one that runs for eight, and the difference is entirely down to whether the session survives a disconnect.
What actually earns while you are away
The methods that work AFK are the ones that need no decisions - anything requiring you to aim, choose, or react is not an AFK method however profitable it is while you are at the keyboard.
Whatever you build, the test is the same: leave it running for an hour while you watch, and check that the inventory is being cleared and the balance is moving. If it works for an hour unattended it will work for eight.
Realistic earnings
AFK income is steady rather than fast. It will not compete with an active session, and any guide promising otherwise is selling you something.
The honest framing is that AFK earning is a floor, not a ceiling. It is what your account makes while you are asleep, at school, or at work - hours that would otherwise produce nothing.
Scaling to more than one account
One account holds one area, so a second farm in a different part of the map needs a second account. This is where the maths changes: the marginal cost of another connection is small next to what another farm produces.
afkclient.pro connects 1 account on Lite, up to 8 on Standard and up to 30 on Pro. Before paying for more connections, though, try consolidating your farms into one cluster - that is free, and it often removes the need entirely.
Is AFK farming allowed on DonutSMP?
AFK connections are common on DonutSMP, but server rules on AFK play and automation vary and do change. Check the current rules and the server Discord before you set anything running.
Technically, afkclient.pro connects to the server the same way the vanilla Minecraft client does, and includes anti-AFK actions to stay within normal idle limits. That is about avoiding an idle kick, not about getting around a rule - if a server prohibits AFK accounts, no client changes that.
A setup that works
- Build or consolidate your farms so the productive ones sit close together.
- Walk your account into the middle of that cluster.
- Connect it through afkclient.pro to
donutsmp.net. - Add your sell command to the scheduler with a sensible interval.
- Watch it for an hour. Confirm the inventory clears and the balance moves.
- Close the tab and turn your PC off.
